Bricsys® is proud to announce the release of BricsCAD® V25.2, building on the significant enhancements introduced in V25 launched in October 2024. This latest update provides powerful tools designed to streamline workflows, accelerate design processes, and improve overall efficiency, all within BricsCAD’s intuitive CAD environment.
The V25.2 update delivers targeted enhancements for engineers, manufacturers, surveyors, and construction professionals, enabling seamless integration between 2D drafting and advanced 3D modelling.
These improvements focus on boosting productivity and optimising software performance.
BricsCAD Lite and Pro users gain numerous features designed to shorten the delivery time of high-quality outputs. Enhancements include faster visualisation of large models and detailed cross-sections, improved 3D sectioning performance, streamlined access to model views from sheet sets, simplified single-sheet publishing, and superior PDF viewing capabilities.
BricsCAD BIM has achieved the IFC4 Architectural Reference Exchange Export Certification, meeting essential compliance for public tenders that require certified IFC4 BIM software. Additionally, this release includes significant productivity enhancements requested by users, particularly in parametric 3D BIM geometry modelling, increasing efficiency and precision.
Mechanical design workflows are enhanced with comprehensive updates to symbols and annotations in the 2D drafting environment, now incorporating integrated 2D Finite Element Analysis (FEA) annotations. These updates provide deeper insights for design validation, simplify converting 3D designs to sheet metal components, support accurate assembly validation, and ensure clear, professional 2D documentation.
The updated civil and surveying toolset empowers surveyors to communicate project data more effectively with stakeholders outside the CAD environment. Enhanced GIS integration now allows smooth importing and exporting of KML and KMZ formats, facilitating the seamless use of BricsCAD data within Google Earth. Additionally, a new feature provides quick horizontal and vertical offsets for Strings or 3D Polylines.
Bricsys remains committed to developing intelligent, user-focused solutions that automate complex workflows and significantly reduce design cycle times. These continued advancements ensure users consistently deliver projects more efficiently and effectively.
