How to Pan in BricsCAD
Quick answer: PAN and RTPAN move the drawing horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, changing only which portion is displayed. Magnification and orientation both stay exactly the same, this isn’t a zoom.
Using PAN or RTPAN
- Launch
PANorRTPAN. The cursor changes to a hand. - Hold down the left mouse button and move the mouse.
- Optionally right-click for a context menu (see below).
- Press
Escto exit.
Switching Tools Mid-Pan
Right-clicking while panning opens a context menu that lets you jump straight into a different view tool without exiting first:
- Exit: ends the command.
- Pan: switches to
RTPAN. - Zoom: switches to
RTZOOM. - Constraint Sphere: switches to
RTROT. - Sphere: switches to
RTROTF.
