BricsCAD Analytics Program Explained
Quick answer: The BricsCAD Analytics Program sends pseudonymized diagnostics and usage data to Bricsys to help improve the software. Per the Bricsys EULA, sharing is on by default during the trial period, with the Launcher explaining the program and letting you adjust or stop it anytime via Analytics Settings. Once a license is activated after the trial, you’re informed again and licensed users choose explicitly whether to join. You can withdraw consent and request data removal at any time, and Bricsys can send updated AI models back to you where possible.
What Data Gets Removed Before Transfer
Transferred data uses a unique, anonymous ID, with the following removed entirely: all personal project information, all texts and leaders, and everything stored in the Settings dialog.
The Sign-Up Dialog
A dialog asking you to participate appears the second time you launch BricsCAD, or when you click Sign Up on the AI Predict ribbon tab.
- No, thank you: turns the program off.
- Maybe later, or closing the dialog: it reappears the next time you open BricsCAD.
- Yes, sign me up: opens the Bricsys website to log in to your account.
- Manage…: lets you choose exactly which types of data to share.
Tick Share data anonymously before choosing Yes, sign me up to be logged in as a guest instead (this checkbox isn’t available if you’re already logged in). You can’t sign up at all if every data sharing option is disabled.
Managing Settings While Logged In
Once logged in, the Analytics Settings button on the AI Predict ribbon tab reopens the program’s management dialog: Save collects whatever data you’ve selected, Stop sharing switches the program off, and Cancel closes the dialog without changes.
The DATACOLLECTION Variable

DATACOLLECTIONto 0 (Off). - Close and restart BricsCAD.
Restarting the Process

Removing Your Data from the Database
To withdraw consent and have your data removed, submit a support request through Bricsys’s support request form and select the Data Collection category under BricsCAD.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does data keep transferring if I’m not logged in? No, even with DATACOLLECTION set to On, data only transfers while you’re actually logged in.
Can I sign up for the program while staying anonymous? Yes, tick Share data anonymously before clicking Yes, sign me up, which logs you in as a guest instead of your full Bricsys account.
What happens to my texts and project information before data gets sent to Bricsys? They’re removed entirely, along with everything stored in the Settings dialog, before transfer.
How do I permanently opt out and have my existing data deleted? Set DATACOLLECTION to 0 to stop the process, and separately submit a support request under the Data Collection category to have existing data removed from Bricsys’s databases.
